Mozambique Tourism Advisory Service | Border requirements and documents for Mozambique | Compulsory Third Party Vehicle Insurance and Triangles | Mozambican Currency Rennies Foreign Exchange | Meticals

Provided 'FREE of charge' with every application.

Several forms must be completed at both sides of the border. Avoid having to stand in a queue at each counter twice, firstly to obtain the form, then having to complete the form (if you can find a pen!) and then back to the queue to finally have the form processed.

We provide a full set of documents for each passport holder that are required to pass through both sides of the border, saving you valuable travelling/holiday time. Please complete these documents before reaching the border.

The Temporary Export/Import form (DA341) is obtainable on the South African side of the border only. This form must be completed to register your motor vehicle, caravan, trailor, boat, outboard motor, laptop, fire-arms and other articles, which can be identified beyond all doubt, for temporary importation into Mozambique and for re-importation into SA/Swaziland on completion of your visit. The two copies of the form which are not detached by the customs officers on your admission to Mozambique, must be kept by you for production to the customs control posts at both sides of the border on your return to SA/Swaziland.
