Most medical schemes in South Africa provide Emergency Rescue Cover via Netcare911, MRI etc. This cover normally does not extend to the territory of Mozambique.
A road based Emergency Medical Rescue Operation by ambulance cost on average R10,000. You will be required to pay 50% of this amount as a
deposit in cash, before the Rescue Operation will be launched.
Temporary membership of SOS NETCARE911 Mozambique, an Emergency Rescue Company based in Maputo, is now available.

1.1) The cities of Maputo and Matola including the Toll road to Ressano Garcia/Komatipoort and the road to Namaacha (Swaziland Border) and up to and including Xai Xai (with the understanding that to reach Xai Xai by road can take two hours) All costs will be covered by SOS NETCARE911.
Cost R150 for a MAXIMUM of 5 persons.

2.1) North of Xai-Xai up to Inhambane. SOS NETCARE911 has contact with most medical facilities in Mozambique and their 24-hour operations center will facilitate and arrange the most appropriate assistance available. It must be born in mind that due to the severe lack of infrastructure in Mozambique and the language barrier, SOS NETCARE911 could make the difference in a life and death emergency situation.
Cost R150 PER PERSON.
